Earthborn Eggshell No.17 is an interior wood paint that is manufactured with natural raw materials making it free from chemical solvents. This beautiful paint is water based and totally oil free. There are no unpleasant smells or emissions. It is a flexible, non-yellowing paint for interior wood and trim.
A great choice for use in healthy homes, Earthborn Eggshell No.17 is suitable for indoor wood items like furniture, doors, panelling, window frames, shelves, skirting boards and any other smoothed, planed wood items you may wish to paint.
Eggshell No.17 is certified as being safe to use on children’s furniture and toys and carries the Safety of Toys Standard (EN71-3).
Available in 72 gorgeous colours. It dries quickly to a silk sheen.
We recommend the use of a water based primer/undercoat on bare wood before painting with the eggshell.
Drying time Touch dry after 1-2 hours. Allow 6-12 hours before applying second coat.
Approx coverage 2.5L: 35m² 750ml: 10.5m² (dependent on substrate and application method).
Please note Eggshell No.17 is not suitable for floors or surfaces subjected to heavy wear. It is also not suitable for any surfaces where the paint will come into contact with sitting water i.e. around bathrooms suites and counter tops.
The EU limit for VOCs for this kind of internal trim/wood paint is 130g/l. The Earthborn Eggshell No.17 contains a maximum of 0.5g/l VOC.

Colour Card
The Earthborn Classic range colour chart has samples of the Claypaint for the swatches. This is not a mass produced colour chart but a high quality accurate selection of colour swatches in the Claypaint finish. The sheen levels will be different (and therefore colours may look slightly different) for the Eggshell finish. There are swatches in white to show that difference on the last page of the colour chart.

Ceilings
You can paint the Earthborn wallpaints on the ceiling. However, if you are looking for something that is slightly more economical, see the Earthborn Ecopro Matt Emulsion (minimum size 5L).
If you are going to paint your ceiling white, it is worth considering one of the air purifying paints which work with sunlight (or sunlight/daylight bulbs) to neutralise noxious gases and odours in the room.
